Privacy Policy & Technical Disclosures

CUTAWAY ATLAS is designed with a strict privacy-by-design architecture. We believe educational exploration should never require personal tracking.

1. Technical Reality of the Current Website

In strict fidelity to our technical codebase:

  • No Cookies: The current static version sets zero HTTP cookies, session cookies, or tracking cookies.
  • No Local / Session Storage: The site does not write user preferences or state to localStorage or sessionStorage. Language preference is preserved strictly via explicit URL paths (/ and /es/).
  • No External Trackers or Remote Fonts: The website loads zero third-party fonts (using system font stacks) and executes zero third-party analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel).
  • Client-Side Web Audio: Audio synthesis in Exhibits 03, 04, and 05 operates strictly within your local browser memory via the Web Audio API. Audio is disabled by default, requires an explicit user click, and transmits no acoustic or telemetry data across the network.

2. Server Hosting & IP Transmission

When publicly served via Cloudflare Pages (free static hosting), essential network transmission data (IP address and HTTP headers) is processed transiently by edge routing nodes to deliver static assets and protect against denial-of-service attacks. This data is not combined with personal profiles.

3. Future Google AdSense Integration & Consent Management Plan

In preparation for future advertising review under publisher ID pub-8457529921334061:

  • No advertising scripts are loaded or active at this stage.
  • Prior to activating ad delivery in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, CUTAWAY ATLAS will deploy a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.3), utilizing Google's built-in Privacy & Messaging CMP solution.
  • Users will be granted clear and granular controls to consent to or reject non-essential cookies and personalized advertising before any marketing identifiers or ad tags are executed.

4. Your Rights under GDPR / LOPDGDD

Visitors residing in the EU hold statutory rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection regarding their personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Inquiries may be directed to our curatorial communication desk.
